July 30 & 31, 2010Marjie Eakin-Petty Artist DemonstrationsPlease join us at the gallery this week-end for an Artist Demonstration with award-winning Fine Artist, Marjie Eakin-Petty. Friday Night Gallery Walk from 5:00 to 8:00 and Saturday from 1:00 to 5:00. This will be an excellent opportunity to learn how Marjie creates the dramatic effects of light, shadow and vivid color in her pastel paintings, and to ask questions about her process or anything about this beautiful art form. Also, an additional treat for Friday Night Gallery Walk: The wonderful ceramic artist Trudy Chiddix will be here from 6:00 to 7:30! |

These casual demos will provide an opportunity to learn how she constructs dramatic effects of light, shadow and vivid color in her pastel paintings, and provide you an opportunity to ask questions about her process, or anything at all about this beautiful art form. |

Thursday, Friday, Saturday, August 26,27,28, 2010Plein Air EventOn August 26th, 27th and 28th, Evergreen Fine Art and Windows to The Divine are sponsoring a Plein Air event in which 40 nationally recognized artists will be participating. Artists such as: Mitch Baird, Stephen Datz, Don Sahli, Nicholas Reti and Kathy Beekman will be here. The complete list will be published shortly. You can observe the artists painting at various locations throughout Evergreen. A map will be provided at Evergreen Fine Art--the starting point for the Plein Air "treasure hunt". On Saturday afternoon, a quick draw will occur with all the artists. The works will be hung in the gallery, the fine art will then be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting Windows to the Divine.
