"No matter what I paint, there is always 'something' that is like a period that falls at the end of every statement", says the artist. "There is always some sort of connection that evokes feeling in the viewer. My work has a wide range of subject matter and moods - moods which wear humor, whimsy, sensuality, serenity, excitement, sadness, femininity, and happiness. To me, life is a range of experiences that hinge on our state of mind. Moods alter our perceptions on the same situation on different days. The common thread in all of my work comes from these moods and manifests itself in the form of color and design. The placement of elements and their varying shapes and sizes make the perspective of the piece. The color, treatment of light, and figures all interact to evoke emotion."
